It is intended for original xenon reflectors that require D2S bulbs (xenon reflectors with lens).  

It does not require any changes to the existing installation. This is a great way to set the focal length and plug voltage of the D2S bulb.  

Can only be used with D2S xenon ballast or other (with D2 adapter).
